My mom and I left our house on the 19 of March to go to the airport. Our flight was at 8pm and we landed in London at 6am. We had breakfast at Starbucks and looked at a few shops in the airport. Our fligth to Orlando was at 11.15am and we landed at about 6.30pm but it was a 12 hour flight but we did cross time zones. When we arrived I saw a Harry Potter shop but I didn’t buy anyting. We got to the inn and put our bags down and we headed out to a T.G.I Friday’s -it was delicous. We went to bed and woke up at 5am to go to the airport. Our flight was 2 hours long so we landed at 9am in Nework in New Jersey. We took an Uber to New York City and we arrived at pur hotel to finf that our room was not ready. We put our bags in storage and headed out to go shopping. We stooped to look in Tiffanys & Co and the people asked if we had seen The Tiffany Diamond and so we were shown this beautiful Diamond that was mined in Kimberly. That Diamond was worn on the neck of Lady Gaga. After Tiffanys we headed to a few more shops. We had lunch at Chipotle -it was delicous- and we then went to Dylan’s Candy Bar which I was not planning on buying anything, but apparently not. After Dylan’s we stopped in BloomingDales just for a look. I wasn’t feeling to well so we headed back to the hotel for a little rest. After our rest we went to American Girl Doll and we wanted to go to the top of the Rock but they told us that it was too cloudy to get the whole experience so we went down to Time Square and we went to the M&M world and many other shops. After Time Square we had some touble finfing somewhere to eat just because we couldn’t find a place where we felt like eating. After searching around we found this amazing Italian place nextdoor to our hotel. After dinner we headed upstiars to our room to go to bed at 9.30pm.
I woke up after an 11hours sleep at 8.30am. We got ready and head out for breakfast. After breakfast we went to look at The Met Museum which was amzing. Then we went to the New York State Library and then to Brynt Park to have lunch. After lunch we went to The Strand Bookstore (it is named the biggest bookstore in the world) and I did buy soem thing there. We asked if they had the Mockingjay pin but they did not and they recomended we try the comic store but they didn’t either, so they recomened tthe Halloween store- it was pretty freeky- but they did have the pin. We headed down to Soho to do some more shopping and to meet moms friend Kim. We did lots of shopping and we went for drinks at Balthazar. We shooped a little more before we headed for dinner but the place we were going to go to wasn’t that great so we took the subway down to our hotel and said goodbye to Kim and we headed to this great Asian place where we couln’t read the menu so we orded based on the pictures which wasn’t a great idea but i still enjoyed what I had. After dinner we went to our hotel to get ready for bed.
We woke up and headed out to have breakfast at a local Starbucks and took the subway down to Ground Zero and had a walking tour about 9.11, it was very tragic and sad. We also did a little bit of shopping, I got some new shoes. After the 2 hour tour we headed to the subway to get a ShakeShack. We then took a subway up to The Highline and walked along it to the Hudson Yard shopping center and we also looked at the Vessle structure. We were quite tired, so we got an ice cream and looked at a few shops and headed home. We had dinner at this amazing little mexican place. We then headed back to the hotel to get ready for bed.
Sunday was the day we were leaving to go to Orlando so we didn’t do much. We got breakfast at Whole Foods and headed to rent a bike to cycle around Central Park, it was beautiful. We then headed to the hotel to pack up and store our bags in the storeroom of the hotel. We then took the subway to Madison Square Garden to watch the NY Knicks play against the LA Clippers. Saddely the Knicks lost. We headed to a few shops before we went back to the hotel to leave to go to the airport. When we arrived in Orlando at 11pm after our flight was delayed, my mom noticed that her suitcase was broken quite badly, we had to then get back in the airport to tell them, lucky they had a suitcase just like the broken one. We arrived at the apartment to find that our couch bed did not have a duvet.
In the morning I played with my little cousins and had lunch before heading out to the Universal park. The park was amazing. We went on one ride before going to the Harry Potter part of the park. I got a picture taken with the Nightbus driver and the hanging head . Diagon Alley was beyond amazing and the Gringots ride was the best ride I have ever been on. We caught the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade and Hogwarts which were both amazing. We got some dinner at The Three Broomsticks before watching the firework show on the Hogwarts castle. We headed back to the apartment.
On Tuesday we went to Disneys Magic Kingdom with the cousins. The rides were amazing. We had lunch and watched the parade and got Starbucks. My favourite ride was Space-mountain which is a really fast ride that is completely in the dark. We also met Belle and the little girls got to act in a little play with Belle. Dinner was great except that it had too much cheese for my lactose intolerant system😰. We also watched the most amazing Disney firework show.
On Wednesday we woke up to bad weather. We were quite annoyed because we were going to use our express passes for Universal but some of the rides were closed due to weater so we changed the for Sunday. We still went on rides because the weateher cleared up. I got to go in the Hogwarts castle. The pictures were even moving. The ride was thrilling because we encounted dementors, giant spinting spiders and dragons. We had a nice lunch in the Simpsons park and we got FroYo. We then headed home to have dinner with the family.
On Thursday, we woke up far too early from the late night before. We went to Epcot and met Crush the turtle from Finding Nemo. The ride were fun but my favourite was a car ride. You got to design a car and test it, but the ride was soooo fast (104.6 km/h). Lunch was the best we’ve had since we have been in America. We went to all the differnt countrys in Epcot and had ice cream in Italy, walked through China and met Elsa and Anna in Norway. We were all very tired so we headed home to have dinner and go to bed.
